Satisficing

Current arrangements feel good enough, so there is no clear reason to change.

Parents are not looking for a perfect solution. If their child can usually be reached, plans are mostly predictable and nothing has gone wrong, the current setup feels good enough.

Considering Watch Plan creates extra decisions: is my child ready, is the watch appropriate, will school allow it, is the cost worth it, and does this bring forward a bigger technology decision? Unless today’s arrangement feels insufficient, it is easier to avoid that effort.

Parent voice

Luckily, we live across the road from the school, so that’s not really an issue... I have a pretty flexible job, so I can work from home.

More than 4 in 5 parents (84%)

agree their current approach works well enough for now.

Behavioural job

Make “good enough for now” less comfortable by showing where today’s arrangement may not cover the child’s next independence moments.
