Autonomy protection

Some parents worry constant contact could undermine independence.

Some parents do not want their child to be reachable all the time. They believe children need to handle some situations without immediately calling a parent, and they may be comfortable with short periods of being out of contact.

This creates an important emotional constraint for Watch Plan. A message built around being always connected could clash with parents’ desire to build independence, resilience and healthy boundaries.

The stronger frame is backup when it matters: a way for children to stay in touch without making them feel constantly supervised.

Parent voice

You can become even more anxious as a parent, always having monitoring and things like that, rather than letting them go within some boundaries. I don’t think it’s actually healthy as a parent either.
