Trust transfer

Telstra can make Watch Plan feel safer to choose.

At the final step, parents are not only evaluating the watch and plan. They are also evaluating who is behind it.

Telstra can reduce perceived risk by transferring trust from its network, brand and support into the Watch Plan decision. That trust is strongest when it is tied to practical reassurance: coverage in the places the child needs it, clear setup support, help managing the service and someone to turn to if something goes wrong.

Parent voice

A store member. I’d say that they’d be able to tell us absolutely everything that we’d need to know. They’re good like that.

Parent, Queensland, child aged 10

Key evidence

Almost 9 in 10 parents (87%)

are at least moderately confident Telstra mobile coverage would be reliable in the places that matter.

Around 3 in 10 parents (30%) say Telstra makes the offer more appealing because they trust the network, around 1 in 5 (18%) because they trust the brand, and around 1 in 10 (11%) because they expect good setup or customer support.

Behavioural job

Transfer trust from Telstra’s network, brand and support into practical reassurance: coverage where children need it, clear setup help, simple account support and confidence that help is available if something goes wrong.
